About Me

UI/UX designer and UI/UX Scripter
My name is Melissa Prosser, i'm 22 and graduated from Staffordshire Univeristy with a First Class Honours in Computer Gameplay Design and Production.
I am currently working as a lecturer in games with a specialism in UI / UX at South Gloucestershire and Stroud college.
My favourite games include Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Fable, Fable 2, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Pokemon Sapphire, Mass Effect, Dota 2 and Spyro!
I've been studying and creating games since i've been in college. I studied Computer Games Development: Extended Diploma at Stroud College (SGS).
I've always created UI since college, starting with working in Flash for UDK. The UI I created in college was good enough that I ended up creating the entire games UI for our classes combined final game in UDK. We had the entirety of a level to create each including assets, textures, scripting, sounds, etc but my level was UI orientated and included a UI puzzle where you had to answer the questions correcly to gain access to the college.
Ever since creating UI for my game in college, I have always tried to improve my UI skills and try new software such as Unity and UE4 to further my UI creation and scripting. I currently now use UE4's UMG and Unity's new UI tools as my primary UI creation tools.
I don't just do UI for games though as I also enjoy scripting games and the mechanics aswell and am fluent in C#, UScript, Python and UE4's Blueprint system.
I also volunteered for Bouncy Box Ltd. A small games company that was created by some friends of mine. I created their website and mostly did marketing. I did contribute towards the design, art style and the UI.
