CHEEKY TIKI

Made in UDK for my group project module at Staffordshire University 2nd Year

This game was created at Staffordshire University in my 2nd year with a team of students for a module. I spent most of my time creating the UI and scripting the gameplay features. I occasionally did a model or two too but the majority of my additions to the team came from creating and implementing the UI and gameplay features.

 

 

The Basics

Cheeky Tiki is an arena shooter. Hordes of enemies are thrown at you and you must defeat them to win. There are other objectives such as protecting a hut but enemies will always spawn and hordes will come.

 

There are different types of enemies in the game, each with different attacks and uses. 

 

Big Momma's - Melee unit that spawn Little Buggers.

Little Buggers - Small enemies spawned by Big Mommas that explode and do radial damage.

Rock Golem - Melee heavy hitter and they have a ranged attack that does less damage.

Earth Poe - Ranged attackers.

 

Features

There are 3 levels in the game in total, including a tutorial.

 

The player has a pool of skills that they can choose from for example, a fire blast, earth shock and arc lightning.

 

When the player completes the level, they get an amount of experience and a shop. They can upgrade skills here and purchase new ones.

 

You have a health and mana bar. Using your skills costs mana and certain skills cost more depending on the damage they do and the effect they create.
