This game was the second game I created for my final year project. I started out with the idea of my project 'UI Focused Games Development'. The aim was to incorperate UI into games in multitudes of different ways and show that it is an important part of games via creating short game demos.

The reason for creating this game was to show a more common approach to UI and UX. This game shows more of a traditional HUD and menu set up using Unity 5's new UI tools and C#'s OnGUI function.

The Basics

Cards Against Humanity is a very popular card game which is under the Creative Commons License.

Its a very simple game; each round, one player asks a question from a black card, and everyone else answers with their funniest white card. Its often very offensive and rude though as its filled with crude humour.

The person who asked the question chooses the best answer and they get a point, then the person clockwise asks the next question.

Features

I created the game to work for LAN on PC's. Its easy to connect to an IP address and just hit the connect button. The game will inform you if a server is not created and will reset if someone leaves the game.

It allows you to input a player name to be displayed at the end if you win and the server controls the amount of players and amount of points to win. There is a cap to these vaules as this game is only a demo, but functional.

It has a very basic style, mostly black, white and grey but I wanted to keep it the same colour theme as the original as its so recognisable.
